My work is your personal dashboard in Testmo. It aggregates everything relevant to you across all your projects in one place: active assignments that need attention, a timeline of recent testing activity, and quick access to the projects you use most. Instead of navigating into individual projects to check what's pending, you can start each testing session from My work and immediately see what needs to be done.
Metrics
Three summary cards appear at the top of the page.
- Runs — the number of test runs that currently contain tests assigned to you.
- Sessions — the number of exploratory sessions currently assigned to you.
- Notifications — the count of unread notifications in your account. Clicking this card opens your profile and notification settings.
These give you a quick read on your current workload before you dig into the details below.
Assignments
The Assignments section lists every active test run and exploratory session where you have work to do. Runs appear when you have one or more tests assigned to you inside an open run. Sessions appear when the session itself is assigned to you.
Each row shows:
- Name — the run or session name, linking directly to it.
- Assigned — for runs, the number of tests assigned to you in that run, linked to a filtered view showing only your tests. For sessions, "Session assigned" indicates the whole session is yours.
- State — the current state of the run or session (e.g., Active, Review).
- Status — an inline bar chart showing the breakdown of test result statuses in the run or session, along with a completion percentage. Clicking the bar chart opens a statistics popup with the full breakdown.
When you have no outstanding assignments, the section displays "Good job, no assignments left!". The assignments list is paginated if you have a large number of active assignments.
Recent Testing Activity
Below assignments, the Recent testing activity section shows what you have been working on recently. This helps you pick up where you left off and provides a record of your contributions across projects.
Two tabs organize this section:
Worked on
The Worked on tab shows test runs, exploratory sessions, and automation runs you have recently contributed to. Entries are grouped by date; today's activity appears at the top, followed by yesterday's, then earlier dates.
Each row shows the run or session name linking to the item, the project it belongs to, and a status bar chart with completion percentage. For automation runs, a success tag is shown instead of a bar chart. A "Closed" badge appears on runs or sessions that have been closed since you last contributed.
If more entries exist than the initial display, a Show more link appears at the bottom of the list to load additional rows.
Results & comments
The Results & comments tab shows the individual results and comments you have recently submitted, grouped by date. This gives you a detailed view of your specific contributions rather than the runs that contain them.
Each row shows:
- Status — the result status (Pass, Fail, Blocked, etc.) or an assignment indicator if the entry represents assigning or unassigning a test rather than recording a result.
- Entity — the name of the test or session the result was added to.
- Created At — when you submitted the result.
Like the Worked on tab, a Show more link appears when additional entries are available.
Sidebar
The right side of the page provides quick navigation to the projects you use most.
Starred projects lists projects you have starred. Starring a project is the recommended way to surface the projects you work in regularly; they will always appear here regardless of whether you have visited them recently.
Recent projects lists the projects you have opened most recently. This list updates automatically as you work and is useful for quickly returning to projects you visited in the last session.
A View all projects link at the bottom of the sidebar takes you to the full projects overview.
Typical Workflow
A common way to use My work is as the starting point of each testing session:
- Check the Runs and Sessions metrics to get a sense of your workload.
- Review the Assignments section to see exactly which runs and sessions need attention, and click into the ones with the highest priority.
- After finishing a run, return to My work and use Worked on or Results & comments to confirm your recent activity is recorded correctly.
- Use the sidebar to jump quickly between the projects you are actively working across.
Because My work draws from all projects you have access to, it is especially useful on teams where work is distributed across multiple projects or when you need to check assignments before joining a testing session.
